I have been looking for some king of arrow case or tube to transport my arrows in on my out of town hunts. In the past I have used a heavy duty paper roll for this purpose but decided I wanted something a that was designed for this purpose.
I looked at all of them. Many of them are really large and bulky. I settled on an adjustable tube made by Easton. It is a 3" diameter, opaque tube that is adjustable to your arrow length and has a carry strap.
It was one of the more reasonably priced totes and meets my needs, which is strictly getting my arrows from A to B and back unharmed. Once I arrive I always remove them from the case to keep the fletchings from taking on a bent set.
This tote is not a style that you could carry your arrows with broadheads assembled and attached. It is strictly for the shafts, although you could pre match you broadheads to each shaft and spin check. Just don't install the blades.
The adjustment feature is great but does not lock all that positively. it has three nodules that fit in matching slots but they are pretty easy to turn out. This would probably not be an issue.
I have just changed my fletch style to the AAE, Maxie Hunter and they are pretty tall, .58" I believe. http://trophy-hunting.blogspot.com/search/label/Vanes . The Manuf. claims the tube will hold up to 24 arrows but it will barely hold half that with the newer style fletchings and the are bent to get that many in.
Other than that its a pretty good product and suites my needs and is half the price of most cases.
